Released on January 31, FT Island‘s fourth mini-album ‘Grown Up‘ sold all 50,000 copies for the first time by February 9th. Having to restock, music stores reported that within the mere 10 days, they had unexpectedly sold 50,000 copies.
Their agency FNC Entertainment stated,
“Because most of the supplies have been exhausted by retail sales and advance orders, we are beginning to produce more for sale. Changing the rock ballad genre of music, this album has been received well in Korea, and we hope it will continue to sell.”
The album has emerged on top of many album sales charts. On February 9th, ‘Grown Up’ snatched the number one spot on an information system’s real-time, daily, and weekly charts. It is also expected to be number one on the monthly chart. They are also putting up a good fight for the number one spot on Melon, Mnet.com and Dosirak.
This album is made up of quick tempo-ed ballad songs. It includes 5 tracks, title song ‘Severely‘, ‘Even Lost a Friend‘, ‘I’m a Fool‘, ‘Grown Up…‘ and ‘We Hope to Become Lovers.’ The title song ‘Severely’ expresses the sad feelings of a person who loses their lover
